IN THE UNITED STATES AND ABROAD
JOSEPH MUGUMYA ON THE ROADS OF UGANDA
Joseph Mugumya, Executive Director of a community organization in Uganda, is key to developing and implementing The Mitchell Fund's Emergency Central Africa Ebola Awareness and Prevention Campaign.
Mugumya, armed with posters and fliers on how to protect against the deadly Bundibugyo Ebola virus, arranges meetings in different Ugandan precincts to which he travels on a rented motorbike to inform groups about how to protect themselves and their families from Ebola.
Group members follow up by meeting with members of smaller, local groups to "Spread the Word -- Not Ebola!" -- the resounding cry of the Talking Turtle and the crowds she inspires.
Anticipated Results
The Central Africa Awareness and Prevention Campaign pilot program presents one model for fighting the spread of the deadly Bundibugyo variant of the Ebola virus.

to Young Readers in Underserved Communities in the United States and abroad.
In the United States, the books will be given to poor children in NATIVE AMERICAN, APPALACHIAN, URBAN, FARM and OTHER UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES.
Also, the BOOKS will be TRANSLATED and Distributed to UNDERSERVED CHILDREN ABROAD.
